I think Miss Marilyn Monroe might have been a bit of a pessimist, ya think? But, in her line of business, and in other cases as well, it was good great advice, to an extent. Still, the part about kiss but never love is a little sad to me. It makes me think that she was very lonely. :(
Using the past as a guide to prevent making the same mistakes in the future is excellent advice, of course. I think that we should all listen to our grandparents a little harder ... and I certainly hope that I grow to be as sage as them one day.
You know what I kinda agree with Ms Monroe, I have only ever fallen in love once and jez nobody told me how much hard work it was! I think its probably better to live each day and have fun rather than thinking that far ahead about love etc, if it happens it happens I guess being a sex goddess like Marilyn made her a target of alot of admirers, being a mere girlie I wouldn't know what that must of felt like, heres to having a laugh and not taking life too seriously xx
From what I recall on the biographies of the wonderful Ms. Monroe, some theories suggest she was very depressed when it came to love. One belief was that she was rejected by president JFK and was very bitter by it. She planned to expose his infidelities and she mysteriously was found dead "having committed suicide." How convenient, eh? Who knows though with all those conspiracy theories?
I think we all go through those phases when we have pessimistic emotions about love. Either we ride it out until we find someone who proves us differently or we remain bitter bitches. Love is very hard to come by, so the world will always have different types of people - those who want to spin in circles in a field of daisies being gaga in love and those who cringe at the idea. That's what makes conversations about the topic all that more interesting because of how extreme people are about the idea of love.
