The freaks are at it AGAIN!

Several months ago I posted this, and had an anonymous comment telling me that I was mean because I called these people freaks. Well, I was looking on Yahoo news this morning and came across this article.

Happy Mother's Day: Woman pregnant with 18th child

t's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman — she's pregnant with her 18th child.
Michelle Duggar, 41, is due on New Year's Day, and the latest addition will join seven sisters and 10 brothers. There are two sets of twins.

"We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing. The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.

The fast-growing family lives in Tontitown in northwest Arkansas in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children — whose names start with the letter J — are home-schooled.
Duggar has been been pregnant for more than 11 years of her life, and the family is in the process of filming another series for Discovery Health.

The new show looks at life inside the Duggar home, where chores — or "jurisdictions" — are assigned to each child. One episode of the new show involves a "jurisdiction swap," where the boys do chores traditionally assigned to the girls, and vice versa, Duggar said.
"The girls swapped jurisdictions, changing tires, working in the garages, mowing the grass," she said. "The boys got to cook supper from start to finish, clean the bathrooms," among other chores.

Duggar said she's six weeks along and the pregnancy is going well. She and her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, said they'll keep having children as long as God wills it. "The success in a family is first off, a love for God, and secondly, treating each other like you want to be treated," Jim Bob Duggar said. "Our goal is for each one of our children to be best friends, and everybody working together to serve each other makes that happen."

The other Duggar children, in between Joshua and Jennifer, are Jana, 18; John-David, 18; Jill, 16; Jessa, 15; Jinger, 14; Joseph, 13; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 10; Jeremiah, 9; Jedidiah, 9; Jason, 7; James, 6; Justin, 5; Jackson, 3; and Johannah, 2.

I will say this once again...these people are FREAKS!!! When this latest baby is born, they will have had 18 children in 20 or 21 years. Seems a little excessive to me. I really think they need to have their heads examined.

So, to anonymous: guess what, I called them freaks again...I look forward to hearing from you, but since I have dropped my anonymity...please drop yours.

Until next time...

Amanda

I have three kids, I think these people are freaks. They might be making their own malitia or something to start a revolt. That's what it's gotta be.

I feel these "parents" aren't actually doing their full parental duties compared to families with less children. Don't get me wrong... I don't doubt that they love their children, but have you watched the original Discovery Channel documentary? In order to run the house "smoothly", they delegate child-rearing tasks to the older children. Basically, the older children are paired up to help take care of younger one.

In my opinion (again..MY opinion, so if you don't agree...I'm inclined to stick my tongue out at you and say "whateva!"), why have children if you can't nurture them personally as a parent? Sounds like I should be wishing some of her older daughters a Happy Mother's Day, too.

I don't know if they are "freaks" per se, but it's hard enough for me to imagine myself having one child and being able to raise it responsibly...let alone 18!

I totally, 100% agree with you. There is something horribly wrong with these people's thought processes. After the last baby, and the crazy anonymous poster you had, I remember doing some reading and finding out that the Duggars did, indeed, accept charity, "donations" if you will, to help raise their horde. And, now with all the Discovery Channel shows, they are actually EXPLOITING these kids ... in order to fund the births of more! And yes, their older kids are essentially raising the younger ones which is just plain wrong. Those kids didn't ask for that responsibility, and they shouldn't have to accept it until THEY are adults and make the decision to have their OWN children.

Though I only have one kiddo (and do NOT plan to have more), I can understand that other people want large families, "large," in my mind, being 4-6 kids, which is a lot, but manageable. A mother can still find time to give that many children personal attention, and hell, I used to read Theresa Bloomingdale's books (she had 10!) and she did a damn fine job with that many. But come ON! 18?!? And it doesn't look like the Duggar's plan to cease any time soon.

I don't know ... do what you want, I guess, and have a plethora of children. But don't expect that many people will agree with your crazy, farked-up decision to breed your own small country.

At least it gives us all something to talk about, I guess. Sigh.
