Well, it's been a very hectic couple of weeks. I moved a week ago, the Saturday before Christmas to be exact. Have you ever tried to move a couple of days before Christmas??? I don't recommend it. So, I got moved and I love my new apartment! It's really cute, I'm still in the process of hanging stuff on the walls but when I'm done with that I think I might just take some pictures and post them and give y'all the grand tour.
I mentioned in one of my last posts that I met a new guy, I'm going to call him Ginger. (I might change his name, I'm not sure yet.) Anyway, he is SUPER NICE!!! Let me start at the beginning...
At the beginning of December, Movie Buff and Doodlebug had a party at their home to watch the Mayweather/Hatten fight. I am not a boxing fan, but I always go to the fight parties because I love them and I always have an awesome time. So, after a couple of Christmas Ales, I start noticing that every time I go outside to smoke a cigarette, Ginger also ends up outside smoking. I was standing in the kitchen when the main fight started and noticed Ginger was at the other end of the kitchen. I walked over there and we started talking. He rode with another guy over there so I told him that I would give him a ride home the next day. The two of us ended up staying at Doodle's house and sleeping in her daughter's bed. Have you ever tried sleeping with another adult in a twin size daybed? It's not an easy task. Anyway, when we woke up he looked at me and asked, "Would you like me to get you some water?" I thought about the question for a moment and answered, "As a matter of fact, I would like you to get me some water." That was it ladies and gentlemen, that one gesture hooked me. You are probably saying to yourself, it was just a glass of water. Well, the thing is, it's usually ME that does the offering to get the water and for him to offer before I had a chance was amazing. The niceness didn't end with the water. When I drove him home he asked me if I wanted to come in and take a nap before I drove home! And you know what??? I DID want to take a nap before I drove home! And the part that was even better than that...he didn't pressure me to do anything more than sleep! I didn't know they made that model anymore.
So, we've hung out about 3 different times and the niceness is still there. Doodle swears up and down that that's just how he is. He really is a nice guy, he's not an ass in nice guy's clothing. Saturday, I went to the Oldest Doodle's birthday party and he agreed to meet me out there...he went to an 11 year old's birthday party because I asked him to. Then he stayed at my house that night and the next morning I realized I didn't have any creamer for my coffee so I asked him if he would mind going to my mom's with me so I could get my morning fix. We went over there and he visited with my mom and my sister then my mom told me that the Wii she ordered for my nephews had come in and that she was going to have to figure out how to hook it up. I asked him if he could do it and he said yes and did it without bitching, THEN showed Thing 2 how to play it!!!
He's coming over tonight so we can "ring in the new year" together.
I hope y'all have a wonderful New Year! Please be careful tonight, this is the night that everyone goes out and drinks, so even if you're sober please watch out for the drivers around you.
Until next time...

P.S. Check back tomorrow as it will be the 1 year birthday of my humble, little blog.

Merry Christmas
I don't have much to say at the moment, my brain is in 45,000 different places right now...I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.
I will leave you with a scene from one of my favorite movies, Love Actually. (the sound does work, just give it a minute.)
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL!!!

My Favorite Things
Since we are a week away from Christmas, I thought I would compile a list of my favorite things and maybe it would help those of you who are still shopping for that perfect gift for your mother, sister, girlfriend, wife...whatever.
1.
I love red lipstick...it makes me feel sexy! I honestly think all women can wear red lipstick, you just have to find the red that looks best on you. My personal favorite is by Avon (don't laugh) Super Rouge. When wearing the red, don't forget the lipliner!
2. Black cake eyeliner
I have been using cake eyeliner for about a month now and I will not go back to the pencil or liquid. This stuff does not smudge or get in the creases of your eyes. The only warning I have is if, in a drunken stupor, you fall asleep without washing your face...you will wake up looking like a raccoon.
3. Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret
It smells really good.
4. The Spin Spa
I'm sure all of you are aware of my addiction to As Seen on TV products...believe me, this is well worth the money!
5.
Enough said.
6.
Pretty much anything from Torrid. I love this store, it is one of the few places that understands that just because you are larger than a 10, doesn't mean you want to wear elasto-pants and vests with children holding hands embroidered across the front. Chicks with booties want to feel hot too!!!
7.
Old Navy is another store I could go crazy in. i have everyone of those flip flops and that shirt in about 7 different colors. Since I work at a company that requires me to wear jeans and shoes that can be worn in construction sights, pipe yards and chemical plants, Old Navy is where I get the majority of my work clothes. Comfortable and affordable!!!
The last three items I am going to list are movies. I'm not a big movie person, but these are three of my favorites...
8.
How could you not love a movie where Ms. Piggy is a Super Model...AWESOME!
9.
"A woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman?"
10.
That's right folks, probably my favorite movie. I have seen this movie hundreds of times and every time the whores start singing "Hard Candy Christmas" and begin boarding the bus to take them away from the Chicken Ranch and Miss Mona I cry like someone just hit me. It doesn't hurt that I absolutely LOVE Dolly Parton. I have a feeling if you saw her walking down the street and you went up to her and asked her if you could hug her, she'd be cool with it. How could you not love someone like that.
So there you have it folks, 10 of my favorite things. There were a couple of things that I had to leave off the list because I couldn't find pictures for them, for example...my As Seen on TV Flip & Fold, the thing that folds t-shirts, probably one of the best purchases of the year.
Until next time...

It's been a crappy couple of months...
As I mentioned in a previous post, the Single Girl family is having some issues. Not so much me, but The Sister. As you may or may not know, I am a worryer (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it, or if it's even a word, but oh well.) So, whenever anyone I love goes through any kind of drama, I go into full on worry mode. I've been like this since I was a child. I'm not going to go into it here, because that's her business and I don't know if she would want her business on the interweb.
So, on top of the worrying about The Sister, tragedy struck my house this morning.
My cat, Miss Kitty, that we've had for 13 years, passed away this morning. Miss Kitty was a beautiful, Russian Blue. She weighed about 30 pounds up until about a month ago. Miss Kitty saw a lot in her 13 years, she saw boyfriends come and go, she saw not one but six different residences, she endured the 24 hour drive to Lufkin, TX during the evacuation of 2005 and through all that she was always the perfect lady...lazy, bitchy and fat! But she had a sweet side to her also, she was especially sweet when she wanted you to pet her or she wanted you to get out of her spot on the couch. RIP Miss Kitty...thank you for 13 amazing years, I will miss you!
Until next time...
